Carolina Search Group's construction recruiting team leads the industry in the successful acquisition of construction talent. Leveraging experience and relationships, they consistently bring together industry-leading organizations and highly qualified professionals.
Charles received his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Clemson University. He spent the first part of his career with one of the world’s largest recruiting firms. Charles won numerous awards, including Rookie of the Year, and was in the top 5% of recruiters annually.
In 2008, Charles started Carolina Search Group to focus exclusively on recruiting for the Construction industry. He lives in Greenville, SC, and is happily married to Elizabeth Hipp, an MD at Parkside Pediatrics. The Hipp family is blessed with two young children and are members at Mitchell Road Presbyterian church.
Charles has served as President of the Construction Recruiters Network and President of the Board of Directors for the Greenville Clemson Club.
In his spare time Charles enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, anything involving the outdoors such as fishing and hunting, and traveling anywhere new.
Ed received his bachelor’s degree in History and Government from Wofford College. He spent 14 years in manufacturing and materials management before co-founding MRI Orangeburg and growing it into one of the premier recruiting firms in the Southeast.
Ed loves being a part of his clients’ team. He partners with them to bring highly skilled professionals to their organizations in a cost-effective manner. Ed works closely with candidates, presenting them with opportunities that will assist them bring them one step closer to achieving their dreams.
In his time away from work, Ed enjoys spending time with his wife, Win Anne, their 5 children and 8 grandchildren.

Jonathan graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in Language and International Trade. He has a true passion for the construction industry and more than 15 years’ experience in sales and client servicing. Prior to joining Carolina Search Group, Jonathan worked for a design-build GC focusing on both residential and commercial construction.
As a recruiter, Jonathan excels at finding exceptional talent for exceptional companies. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Beth, and two daughters, Charlie and Emme. In his rare moments of free time, Jonathan loves to watch the Chicago Cubs and anything related to Clemson athletics.
